{"title":"Respiratory protection","description":"\u003cp\u003eDust mask or half mask? It depends on what you are breathing in. Here you will find half masks, a full face mask and a powered air unit with visor (PAPR) from Sundström, plus particle filters, gas filters and pre-filters. For dust, grinding dust and smoke, use a particle filter, typically P3 for the finest particles. For vapours and gases, for example from solvents, you need a gas filter, and filters can be combined. Choose the mask according to the task and the risk assessment at your workplace, and check that the mask seals tightly. Filters must be replaced, and use is limited in time, so follow the manufacturer's instructions. Remember that only a tight-fitting mask protects. Facial hair and the wrong size cause leaks, and filters that have been in use lose effectiveness. The masks and filters belong together in one modular system, so you can change filter type without changing mask. The SR 200 full face mask is made of silicone and is produced in one size that fits most face sizes. The mask is fitted with three inhalation valves and two exhalation valves, so breathing resistance is very low. The exhalation valve covers have dividing walls that effectively protect the valves and membranes from dust and paint mist. The design and placement of the exhalation valves improve communication. The mask body material and pigments are FDA and BGA approved for food contact, which minimises the risk of contact allergy. The mask's easily adjustable elastic head straps are attached to the visor frame and to the exhalation valves, which together with a large crown plate contribute to a comfortable and secure fit. The spherical visor of the mask is made of scratch-resistant polycarbonate, which provides a wide field of vision. The mask can be used either as a filtering device in combination with filters from the Sundström filter range, or as a continuous-flow breathing apparatus together with the SR 307 compressed air connection. SR 200 supplemented with breathing hose SR 550 (PU) or SR 551 (rubber) can also be used as the facepiece together with Sundström's blower units SR 500 or SR 700. A pre-filter holder is included.
