Cederroth Eye Wash is intended for use in eye accidents at workplaces to flush away foreign bodies and harmful substances. Cederroth's buffered eye wash also has a neutralising effect on splashes of alkalis and acids. The effect is generally stronger for alkalis than for acids. Cederroth Eye Wash is intended to be used as first aid as soon as possible after the accident has happened, and pre-rinsing can be continued at a permanently installed eye wash station, or until medical help has arrived. The eye wash can also be used during transport to hospital. If the harmful substance is an acid or alkali, rinse for at least 5-15 minutes (use several bottles, or continue rinsing at a plumbed-in eye wash station), and always seek medical attention.
